The North Orange County Chamber (NOCC), in partnership with the US Chamber of Commerce, will be hosting a candidate’s forum tonight for those seeking to represent the 39th District in Congress. The event is scheduled from 6:30–8:30 pm at the Fullerton Community Center (340 W. Commonwealth Avenue). The seat is being vacated by longtime Representative Ed Royce, who announced in January that he would not be running for re-election after serving 13 terms.
Candidates confirmed to participate in the Congressional forum include: Bob Huff, Sam Jammal, Young Kim, Shawn Nelson, Andy Thorburn, and Mai-Khan Tran.
“This forum provides the business community an opportunity to address questions relating to issues currently being discussed in congress including free trade, foreign policy, budget and immigration,” explained Theresa Harvey, NOCC’s president.
[Please note: Campaign materials including but not limited to posters, buttons, flyers and stickers will not be allowed inside the Fullerton Community Center during the event.]
